Join us for the League's 2024 City Forums.

For 2024, these informative sessions will feature an open discussion with topics determined by our members and an informal networking portion. League staff will help lead the discussion and answer questions. As always, all Legislators are invited to attend, and we encourage you to reach out and personally invite them. Light refreshments will be served during these events, and the cost to attend is $10.

We hope you take this important opportunity to network with local officials to discuss legislative issues, challenges your city may be facing, or help identify areas of focus for the organization.

Also offered ahead of the City Forum discussion is an optional training for an additional $65 (manual included). These trainings will be held from 1:00 - 2:30. See the final registration form for details. The City Forum portion begins at 3p.m. and will end approximately 5p.m.

Written cancellations must be made prior to the listed RSVP date for each meeting, or the participant will be responsible for payment. Cancellations by phone will not be accepted, please email Rynae Redd.

The Ottawa location will have an optional KOMA Training before the City Forum portion. 

Maintaining openness in government is a key responsibility for elected and appointed city officials. In this session, attendees will learn about: types of governmental bodies and meetings covered by KOMA, requirements of the Act, serial meetings, and executive sessions.
