The League's research program serves a multitude of purposes. First and foremost is to provide cities with analysis of data and information relevant towards cities' operations and the insight that allows cities' to shift their practices, if needed, to meet best practices...

The Municipal Revenue Practices Survey has information about Kansas cities' revenue sources, including property and sales tax rates, motor vehicle receipts, utility rates, and franchise fees, among others.

The League compiles a Salary, Benefits, and Personnel Practices Survey. The survey's data and results are intended to provide League members with a comprehensive analysis of municipal finance practices in Kansas when it comes to personnel.

The Tax Rate Book is published annually in the March/April, Kansas Government Journal. 
The book is structured to illustrate tax rates and fiscal data from each of the three classes of cities and then moves on to highlight tax rates from counties, unified school districts and community colleges.
