Registration Opens on Thursday, January 15! Knowledge of the Kansas Open Meetings Act (KOMA) is essential for all elected officials. Both the law and the public expect local governments to operate transparently and in compliance with KOMA. In this webinar, participants will:

Review KOMA’s legal requirements, including which governmental bodies are covered and when the Act applies;

Examine serial meetings and their implications;

Explore executive sessions, including proper procedures, authorized topics, and common pitfalls; and

Understand enforcement mechanisms and potential penalties.
All participants receive the Kansas Open Meetings Act Manual (a $60 value) as part of their course materials.
