This survey was conducted by the League in response to the Supreme Court's Ad Hoc Report on Best Practices for Municipal Court. The goal of the survey is to allow cities to see how their fines for certain offenses compare to other cities around the state.

The League recently completed its Municipal Revenue Practices Survey. The survey's data and results are intended to provide League members with a comprehensive analysis of municipal revenue practices in Kansas. The information will also aid the League's advocacy efforts to construct policy analysis based on different perspectives of cities' financial environments.

The Tax Rate Book is published annually in the March/April, Kansas Government Journal. The book is structured to illustrate tax rates and fiscal data from each of the three classes of cities and then moves on to highlight tax rates from counties, unified school districts and community colleges.

The survey's data and results are intended to provide League members with a comprehensive analysis of municipal finance practices in Kansas when it comes to personnel. The information will also aid the League's advocacy efforts to construct policy analysis based on different perspectives of cities' financial environments.
