Guide for City Candidates

The Guide for City Candidates is a publication of the League which is meant to provide information and resources for candidates pursuing local office. The guide includes useful background information concerning city government in Kansas, the election process, taking office, and the basics of governing.

The publication is free and available to local government candidates and we encourage cities to print copies and provide to candidates filing for local government office.
