Kansas Counts

The Census count in 2020 will set population data for our state for many years to come. Population data, and more importantly, correctly counting all members of a community is crucial to providing necessary funding for community services which cities rely on for their residents' daily lives. We're excited to announce the Kansas Health Foundation has awarded a grant to the League of Kansas Municipalities to coordinate a statewide, local-government focused campaign to promote participation in the Census2020. Every Kansan counts. Your representation matters.

For more information about the League's Census2020 efforts, contact Census Outreach Manager, Wendi Stark at (785) 409-9868.

We are developing simple, easy-to-apply communications materials for local governments and communities to promote the census. We will have social media images, pre-designed messages for utility bills, website, videos, and other materials for your use.

Right now, cities should be to promote the 2020 Census and educate residents on the importance of participation. We have created a Local Action Guide for you to use to help promote the census.

Visit our KansasCounts website for a comprehensive listing of materials needed to promote the census and general information about the 2020 Census in Kansas.
