City Officials Fundamentals is a foundational training designed to equip city officials with essential knowledge from the League’s City Officials Manual. Led by the League’s legal team, this three-hour elective course provides a comprehensive overview of key responsibilities, legal considerations, and best practices for effective governance.

Whether you are newly appointed or looking for a refresher, this session will enhance your understanding of the duties and challenges city officials face in Kansas. Gain practical insights to navigate your role with confidence and build on the expertise outlined in the League’s trusted manual.

Every League member city received a complimentary City Officials Manual in February 2025. Registered participants will have the opportunity to purchase a copy at checkout for $45.

This virtual MTI will be recorded and made available to registered participants. You do not have to attend the webinar live to receive the materials.

Registered participants have exclusive access to this training. Anyone watching the training (whether in its entirety or coming in and out of the room) must register and pay the course fee.

Cost to attend this MTI course is $75 for members, $100 for nonmembers. The course has been approved for 0.75 CMC/MMC education credits.
