This year, the Statement of Municipal Policy (SMP) will be reviewed in its entirety in different locations across the state. Registration will begin at 1:45, with the meeting portion running 2p.m. - 4:30 p.m. with light refreshments provided. All policy meetings will have a livestream feed available. Please register and select either in-person, or livestream option to receive the link.

The League uses the following process to adopt changes to the SMP:

• Only city officials (elected and appointed staff) are allowed to vote and make proposals for amendments to the SMP, and the proposal for amendments should be on behalf of a city.
• All city officials must register for the policy committees one week before the policy committee meetings and 24 hours before the annual business meeting.
• Proposed amendments to the SMP need to be filed with the League one week before the committee meets to give League staff and city officials additional time to review proposals.
