For the first time since 2014, the League has completed its Municipal Revenue Practices Survey. The survey's data and results are intended to provide League members with a comprehensive analysis of municipal revenue practices in Kansas.. The information will also aid the League's advocacy efforts to construct policy analysis based on different perspectives of cities' financial environments. In 2017, 59 cities completed the entire survey.
The League has just launched a second part to the revenue survey in partnership with Kansas Municipal Utilities to collect data specifically about city utility rates. Cities that completed the first survey have been invited to contribute to the utility survey and will receive free access to the data if they participate.
To access the survey, please contact Rynae Plue at the League to receive the password to access the file below. If you are a city who participated in the survey, you will receive the data free of charge. If you are a city who did not participate in the survey, there will be a $35 dollar fee to access the data if you are a League member city.
