Published since 1914, the Kansas Government Journal (KGJ) is the official monthly magazine of the League, and is the only statewide publication designed specifically for city, county, and state government officials. The KGJ boasts a monthly circulation of about 4,000, and is distributed to individuals and government across Kansas. K.S.A. 12-1610a expressly authorizes local governments to purchase annual subscriptions of the KGJ for their officers and employees and to maintain at least one bound set of these journals in their archives for reference.

The League is always in the process of lining up feature articles for upcoming issues of the Kansas Government Journal. If you would like to write about an interesting project in your community or a management topic, or collaborate with a contractor for an article about a community project, please contact Megan Gilliland.
