2) Kansas State University's Center for Engagement and Community Development

The Center for Engagement and Community Development at Kansas State University is newly created by the Kansas State University (KSU) administration and the K-State Extension service. Their mission is to connect the resources and expertise of KSU to the significant issues of public needs facing Kansas and communities worldwide. They recognize that Kansans and Kansas communities are confronting a variety of challenges ranging from business development to promoting arts and culture, protecting the local environment, and instilling greater civility among the local citizenry. The center seeks to be a resource for Kansas communities as they deal with these big issues. As a way to communicate with people around Kansas, they have created a monthly electronic newsletter they call "K-State's Engagement E-News." You can receive the newsletter if you contact the center. Also, if you have questions or comments or would like to explore ways K-State might be of assistance, please do not hesitate to contact them.
