Membership

The purpose and mission of the Kansas Human Relations Association is to:
- Address equal opportunity concerns throughout the State of Kansas, pertaining to employment, housing, and public accomodations.
- Collect and disseminate information for persons engaged in the improvement of equal opportunity.
- Plan and conduct equal opportunity or human relations related education and training programs.
- Make recommendations to the governing body of the League of Kansas Municipalities.
- Participate in League of Kansas Municipalities activities to advance equality and equity among all Kansans.
- Assist Kansas human rights commissions, organizations, and communities in addressing equal opportunity, discrimination, and human rights issues, at their request.
- Engage in activities consistent with the mission of the Association, as the membership may deem appropriate.
- Prevent and respond to discrimination and human rights issues in the State of Kansas.
